This Committee will primarily focus on objectives QL.2, QL.4, QL.5a, QL.5b, HW.3, HW.4, HW.7, HW.9a, HW.9b, and HW.15 in the 2005-2009 SPA. This includes coordinating efforts in support of expanded use of telemedicine and web MD, advising on the use of Mental Health Services Act (Proposition 63) funds, and on the convening of two Intergenerational Forums: “Aging as a Lifelong Process” and “Aging and Longevity Across the Generations”, resulting in Blue Ribbon Reports that set the advocacy agenda for the Advisory Council on combating ageism and aging boomer issues. The committee will coordinate with the full Council regarding related Advocacy objectives QL.1, QL.3, HW.1, and HW.13.
