This Committee will primarily focus on objectives H.3a, H.3b, H.5, T.2, and T.3 in the 2005-2009 SPA. This includes advocating to support housing recommendations in the California Long Range Strategic Plan on Aging, convening two housing and two transportation forums, resulting in Blue Ribbon Reports on Housing and Transportation that set the advocacy agenda for the Advisory Council on the two subjects. The Committee will also coordinate with the Intergovernmental Subcommittee in regards to the City Forums in order to follow up on the incorporation of key elements in both city/county housing and transportation plans and with transportation stakeholders on alternatives to driving. The committee will coordinate with the full Council regarding related Advocacy objectives H.1, H.2, H.4, T.1, and T.4.
